The Beasley kids model is made of 6000 series alloy in a low frame stand-over height and is available in either 24" or 26" wheel sizes (see Beasley 26). The Beasley 24 features a no-nonsense rigid 6000 series aluminum fork, and a 7-speed 1X drive train with a Shimano Revo Shifter for versatility and simplicity. The Pivit alloy cassette hubs set is laced to sturdy alloy double wall rims and equipped with Kenda Kruiser 24x2.125" wide tires. Every Jamis youth bike uses size-specific items like grips, saddles and cranks that enhance comfort and control by providing the best possible bike fit. We focus on designing frames with low stand-over’s to take much of the awkwardness out of getting on board and dismounting after. We trim as much weight as we can with lightweight aluminum frames on many of the youth models and use aluminum parts where possible (the limiting factor here is working within a youth bike appropriate price point) to work towards that make-it-as-light-as-possible goal.

TOP FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW Our lightweight & durable aluminum Laser frame is easier to pedal than steel. The 20” Laser actually offers two types of brakes: a standard rear coaster brake, which most youngsters are familiar with, and a rear V-brake which many are not. Having the rear coaster brake as a back-up, allows youngsters to get used to hand-braking without going cold-turkey on the coaster brake they are comfortable with. Our alloy rims are anodized black to provide even greater corrosion and rust resistance than the alloy already possesses. Before wheels are laced and trued, the rim sidewalls are ground to provide a smooth braking surface for the rear V-brake. We build the Laser 2.0 wheels with 36 spokes in a 3-cross lacing pattern for a strong & durable wheel. Then mount knobby BMX tires that bite in the dirt, but also feature a rounded profile that rolls smoothly on neighborhood streets & driveways. The Coast is all about inspiring kids to start riding from an early age. Balance bikes, like the Coast, help to teach kids balance and coordination instead of relying on training wheels. What's special about the Coast, is the way it combines features and geometry for children, with that of a BMX bike. When you're a kid, riding a bike is the ultimate form of freedom. The Makena is the perfect starter bike for your little cyclist. This kid-friendly frame features 20" wheels with chubby 2.6" tires for excellent traction, a 28-tooth chainring and low standover make it friendly for the littles, while a 1x drivetrain allows for single-handed shifting and make it an awesome first "real" bike.

The 24" Hula is designed for the kid that's a bit too tall for the 20" Makena, is quickly progressing their skills and is moving up in the neighborhood shred ranks. Running 2.6" tires ensures maximum traction. The wheels are laced to QR hubs for ease of use.
