While 14-inch bikes are not all that common, the Kink Pump 14 fills an important role in our lineup. The Garneau F-16 bike offers a few more features for the rider than its little brothers and comes in two colors. Just like the F-12 and the F-14, the F-16 has a high-tensile steel frame, a single speed, and training wheels that can be removed if needed. In addition, the F-16 has both a coaster brake that engages by pressing the pedals backwards, as well as an additional hand brake that starts to prepare your rider for the next level. Before wheels are laced and trued, the rim sidewalls are ground to provide a smooth braking surface for the rear V-brake. We build the Laser 2.0 wheels with 36 spokes in a 3-cross lacing pattern for a strong & durable wheel. Every Jamis youth bike uses size-specific items like grips, saddles and cranks that enhance comfort and control by providing the best possible bike fit. We focus on designing frames with low stand-overs to take much of the awkwardness out of getting on board and dismounting after.
