The Garneau F-16 bike offers a few more features for the rider than its little brothers and comes in two colors. Just like the F-12 and the F-14, the F-16 has a high-tensile steel frame, a single speed, and training wheels that can be removed if needed. In addition, the F-16 has both a coaster brake that engages by pressing the pedals backwards, as well as an additional hand brake that starts to prepare your rider for the next level. Using hand brakes to stop will be a whole new skill for your little rider to learn, but having the coaster brake there for backup is always a great option to have. The 20” Laser actually offers two types of brakes: a standard rear coaster brake, which most youngsters are familiar with, and a rear V-brake which many are not. Having the rear coaster brake as a back-up, allows youngsters to get used to hand-braking without going cold-turkey on the coaster brake they are comfortable with. Our alloy rims are anodized black to provide even greater corrosion and rust resistance than the alloy already possesses. Before wheels are laced and trued, the rim sidewalls are ground to provide a smooth braking surface for the rear V-brake. We build the Laser 2.0 wheels with 36 spokes in a 3-cross lacing pattern for a strong & durable wheel. OBSESSIVE ABOUT RUST RESISTANCE Most of the parts specified on our Taxi are made of aluminum to save weight, but also to help preserve the finish of the bike. Aluminum parts include the seat post, seat clamp, stem, rims, front hub, kickstand and crank arms. We’ve even specified a specially treated chain on the Taxi that protects the chain against rust in even the harshest conditions. The 24" Hula is designed for the kid that's a bit too tall for the 20" Makena, is quickly progressing their skills and is moving up in the neighborhood shred ranks. The Honzo 20 is for the mini ripper who has no problem keeping up with the older sibling and needs a bike that rides hard too! The Honzo 20 fits 20 x 2.6" tires, making it easier to roll over obstacles on the trail. QR hubs keep tube swaps easy, and a 60mm fork keeps the ride nice and plush. The Honzo 20 will have your grom taking over the neighborhood in no time!

When we made the Honzo, we knew this would be a bike people would want to ride forever. Since we all grow out of kids' bikes, we figured we'd make a kids' Honzo that was as cool as the version their parents ride. It comes with wider kid-friendly 2.6" tires to boost traction and an 80mm fork to provide the perfect amount of squish whether your kid is hitting jumps in the yard or crushing you down the backyard trail.
