Designed as a women's specific board the LEILANI Bamboo has inherited its fast lines from the popular Kahuna Comp series of boards. The 11’7” length and 28.75” width make the board more paddle friendly and maneuverable for smaller paddlers. 1'1" Epic Kuda Fast & Maneuverable The very popular Epic KUDA was added to our line-up in 2015. With a similar design to the KING, the KUDA is a little shorter and narrower at 31” making the KUDA more maneuverable. The Comp XL – Bamboo is built with various top layers with Bamboo in the Sandwich for added stiffness. We start with an EPS foam blank and shape it with a unique negative nose angle design. This progressive shape helps cut through wind chop and gives the paddler a huge advantage in directional stability. The board lay-up starts with three layers on the top and an extra fourth layer of 3k carbon is added to the standing zone. The fibreglass layers wrap over the rails for added protection and strength. We only use two layers of fibreglass on the bottom to keep the board as light as possible. 14'0" Epic Mana High Performance Touring Board New for 2019 we are very proud to introduce the "MANA", an “Enduro Series” shaped board. The 14’ MANA is a hand shaped displacement hull made from our Epoxy Sandwich Vacuum Construction (ESVC). This new shape is a crossover from a Race and a Touring design. The new bulbous style nose along with the v-shape bottom like our Comp series boards, gives even greater glide than a Touring board, yet still have the ability to track across from side winds. The MANA is also narrower than a touring board at 27.5” wide, so although it’s not as stable as the Comp, the straighter rail lines equals more speed. Essentially we took away some width and added that volume to the nose, (approx. 300 litres still) so the MANA tends to sit higher on the water. 12'6" Carbon Comp FAST & STIFF The 10 year Anniversary CARBON COMP features a race-oriented design and look for paddlers that want to go fast and straight. The displacement hull achieves this by being designed with a negative nose angle and a v-shaped bow. This not only helps the board track it also allows the paddler to cut through choppy water with ease. Since 3k carbon is known for its light weight and stiffness, we decided to go for most advanced construction for our 10 year anniversary. We sandwiched a full top layer of 3K Carbon with a Formula 1 cosmetic that only weighs in at approximately 27lbs, that’s crazy light board at 12’6”. Our custom EPS foam core and the Full 3K Carbon Epoxy Sandwich Vacuum Construction (ESVC), the CARBON COMP is not only light but super stiff. Paddlers know that stiff boards are fast because of the reduced flex in the board allowing for superior glide qualities. At 30" wide and with increased volume in the standing zone, we have designed the CARBON COMP so the paddler can stand further up on the deck reducing paddle strikes to the sides of the board.
