Balance bikes have become the bike industry professional's go-to method of teaching their kids how to ride. By starting with a balance bike, the child learns balance before any of the other harder skills, like pedaling and braking. The Kicker is our only 18-inch bike in the line and is built with younger riders in mind who aren't quite ready to make the jump to their first 20-inch bike. This bike doesn't compromise on any specs—it features a tough-looking Gloss Black Copper color and is paired with all black components and stunning copper-colored handlebars. Geometry on the Kicker 18 bike is specifically tailored in all aspects and is again not simply a smaller bike. All parts and components work together to create the perfect bike for younger and shorter riders. A few notable components kitted with the Kicker are the 8 Kink T800 bars, rock solid 3-piece tubular Chromoly cranks with sealed Mid bottom bracket, a sealed integrated headset, and modern tread design 2.4" tires.

The Coast is all about inspiring kids to start riding from an early age. Balance bikes like the Coast help to teach kids balance and coordination instead of relying on training wheels. What's special about the Coast is the way it combines features and geometry for children with that of a BMX bike. The Coast is truly a balance bike designed for kids working their way up to their first BMX bike. Coming in a cool Gloss Pine Green colorway, the Coast is kitted with some great BMX style parts. Kids are not only getting into BMX at an earlier age, but they're also progressing even earlier and require a properly fitting bike as they grow. The Pump 14 fits perfectly between 12-inch and 16-inch bikes and is built with proportionate geometry and components suited to this age and height rider. Small details such as the Mission Micro brake lever are considered carefully to ensure everything is of proper fit and function on this bike. The 20” Laser actually offers two types of brakes: a standard rear coaster brake, which most youngsters are familiar with, and a rear V-brake which many are not. Having the rear coaster brake as a back-up, allows youngsters to get used to hand-braking without going cold-turkey on the coaster brake they are comfortable with. Our alloy rims are anodized black to provide even greater corrosion and rust resistance than the alloy already possesses. Before wheels are laced and trued, the rim sidewalls are ground to provide a smooth braking surface for the rear V-brake. We build the Laser 2.0 wheels with 36 spokes in a 3-cross lacing pattern for a strong & durable wheel. Then mount knobby BMX tires that bite in the dirt, but also feature a rounded profile that rolls smoothly on neighborhood streets & driveways. Every Laser 2.0 offers a kickstand for parking that pride & joy up securely, and a safety bell to announce that the Laser has arrived.

OBSESSIVE ABOUT RUST RESISTANCE Most of the parts specified on our Taxi are made of aluminum to save weight, but also to help preserve the finish of the bike. Aluminum parts include the seat post, seat clamp, stem, rims, front hub, kickstand and crank arms. We’ve even specified a specially treated chain on the Taxi that protects the chain against rust in even the harshest conditions.
