The Magura MDR-P is a disc rotor for performance-oriented riders and tough tasks ranging from downhill and ebikes to heavy cargo bikes. It features Dovetail Interlink technology, a patented interlocking of the outer and inner rings. This provides additional support for the inner ring if the outer ring expands due to heat. In contrast to floating discs, the torque is transmitted to the dovetail-shaped toothing over its entire surface instead of just the rivets, increasing the rigidity of the brake disc and the degree of heat dissipation under continuous load. The Desist brake kit includes a Restrain brake lever, linear brake cable, and Desist brakes with Koolstop pads. Kink Desist brakes are fully forged from 7075-T6 aluminum for ultimate stiffness. The unique cable pivots and straddle cable system create a smoother and more powerful pull. A low stack spring and cap design also provide extra clearance for drivetrains. This brake set also includes the legendary Kool-Stop brake pads for plenty of stopping power. The Kink Restrain brake lever is constructed from a fully forged aluminum lever, body, and bracket to maximize strength and stiffness. It features a low-profile, finger-friendly design as well as an ergonomically designed lever for added comfort. It's oversized hinge joints and pin increase strength and prevent cracks or breaks from over-tightening. The Restrain lever is also universal and can be used on the right or left side. The Kink Linear brake cable features an outer linear strand housing, which greatly decreases bind when the cable twists during tricks. The inner 1.5mm cable is ground smooth to create an even smoother, drag-free pull. Aluminum ferrules prevent housing failure at both ends, and can easily be refitted after cable trimming.

In 2016, TRP began working with reigning world cup champion, Aaron Gwin, to redesign our DH-R EVO brakes. Out of the gate, he was impressed with the initial level of performance, but he did have a list of improvements needed to achieve world cup-winning performance. Working closely with the TRP development team, improvements were made in nearly every part of the brake and tested on the world cup circuit throughout the season. We took most of the changes made to the DH-R EVO brakes and put them into the Slate T4. This brake features the same ergonomic lever made from cast aluminum and a forged/CNC'd caliper, both of which were given a matte black finish. It also features a new and stiffer 5.0mm hose for easier internal routing and better transfer of hydraulic power. Riders will also find benefits in the four-piston caliper, tool-free reach adjust, and top-loading caliper.
